BANGOR, Maine - Husson University has an exciting new addition to the campus with the first-ever outdoor golf practice facility on a college campus in the State of Maine. The facility is a 3000 square foot putting green with nine hole locations. There will be a chance for players to work on pitching to the green, their putting skills, and shooting out of a bunker.
"This project has been a goal of our program that started four years ago," states Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach Mike Dugas. "I can not thank the University enough for helping us achieve our goal. My players are truly looking forward to having their own space on campus to practice."
With the use of synthetic turf instead of grass, the new facility will require low maintenance for the university and should even see use during the winter and early spring months. Golfers can look forward to practicing their game without having to leave campus.
